Disneyland with Aunt Jill

Aunt Jill decided to be brave and go with us to Disneyland and thank goodness she did because I don't really know that I could have managed both of them by myself! We had a great time and survived the day.

Dodger Game

Our first Dodger game since Kinley has been mobile and oh what fun! She is definitely the busy child. Trevor got a new baseball glove and I don't think that he took it off the entire game. He loves going to any kind of sports game. He would hold his glove out and pretend to catch it each time the ball was hit and then throw it to get the runner out.

Disneyland with Trevor

We decided to take Trevor to Disneyland for the first time for his birthday. It was such a fun day and he absolutely loved it. He was soooo excited to see Mickey Mouse and we knew that was the one thing we had to make sure happened. Of course the day got by us before we realized that Mickey was no longer out and about so our day at Disneyland could not end until we tracked him down, so fortunately for us he showed back up after the parade and Trevor's day was complete! It was so unbelievably fun to see Disneyland through the eyes of a 3 year old and to experience it as a parent.

Trevor's 3rd Birthday

It is hard to believe that my little Trevor turned 3! I just don't know where the time goes. He is quite the little guy. This is the first year that he really gets his birthday and loves to sing happy birthday to himself, of course we have been celebrating his birthday since April so maybe that is why he has loved it soooo much.

Because I will never catch up to date and feel overwhelmed by the thought of trying to catch up I decided it's either let the blog go.... or let go of trying to update and just start with what we are up to now! So, we just celebrated Kinley Jules 1st Birthday. All of our family was able to make it out and be a part of her very special day. We also had her dedicated at her birthday with all of our family and some of our closest friends. Oh how fun it was to plan for a girly party!

I just can't seem to keep up with this whole blog thing! It started as a way for all of our family to get a glimpse of what we are up to each week and then the whole family joined facebook, so hence where all of the pictures go first! So one of these days I am going to catch up.

A family photo shoot with two small children is no easy task! It never fails, one looks at the camera and then the other one looks away and to keep both in a good mood...... but amazingly enough we got a lot of great pictures with everyone looking and at least a majority smiling!

Happy Halloween

Trevor insisted on being a penguin so he could be Happy Feet, however he refused to wear the hat and decided he wanted to wear his train conductor's hat instead, oh well. I have learned there are just some fights that aren't worth it! He was a very cute conductor penguin. He had such a great time with his little friends trick or treating.

Happy Feet

He really is the cutest penguin I have ever seen and actually the only one I saw for Halloween! Trevor was set on being "Happy Feet" and on a good day would even do the Happy Feet dance. Fortunately he was so excited the day I brought home his costume that he was happy to wear it and put on his hood. This is the one and only picture we were able to get where you can actually see the penguin face. Oh well.

Just like his daddy. He even eats his cereal in a "big" bowl. I keep telling John he should be doing a cereal commercial!
Kinley absolutely loves her big brother and even when he is a little rough she still thinks he's funny, which then encourages Trevor to be that much rougher. He loves getting in her crib after she wakes up to "play" with her.

Fall Festival at the Zoo

We met up with some friends at the zoo for the fall festival. Trevor did wear his costume to the zoo but by the time we got to pictures it was already off. Although I can't say that I blame him, living in California and wearing a fleece Halloween costume on a 90 degree weather day, I would do the same thing!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went Aunt Jill and Scott to the pumpkin patch. Trevor wasn't in the happiest of moods but he had fun anyway. He really wanted to be a big boy and ride the rides but when it came down to it he just wasn't ready to go without Daddy or Mommy! Kinley loves it anytime we go anywhere because she gets held the entire time, so she is just happy to go along.

My once smiley little boy who loved the camera has now decided that he would rather not have his picture taken and chooses to wait to smile until right after the picture is taken! Oh the joys of 2 years old. He is most definitely getting a little mind and opinion of his own.

It's hard to believe how fast the past 6 months have gone. Kinley is such a happy little baby and pretty much just goes with the flow. She loves to watch her big brother and thinks he is pretty silly most of the time. Trevor can make her laugh like nobody else. It truly is one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Kinley's trip to Dallas

Kinley and I got to have a girl's trip to Dallas while Daddy and trevor went and hung out with Uncle Gregg at the beach. We had so much fun and got to do lots of girly stuff. As always our trips home are jam packed with lots of things to do. Kinley had her first trip to Canton (with all of her cousins), we had a soccer game for cousin MaKayla, a baby shower, and a Princess party for cousin MaKenzie's 3rd birthday.

Trevor is such a big helper (most of the time). It's fun to watch her laugh and giggle at him and to watch him getting her to laugh. He loves to hold her hand and wants her to "watch" him do everything.

Every year since we have lived in California we have a tradition of going to San Clemente for the weekend with friends. It's always such a great time hanging out at the beach and eating at all of our favorite places. Trevor had such a great time and loves playing in the water and the sand. He's growing up a California boy.

Celebrating Cousin Makayla's 5th Birthday!

While we were home, Makayla celebrated her 5th birthday at a water park. Trevor loved it, he had so much fun and it was fun watching him take it all in and be one of the "big" kids. Kinley stayed back at Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jeremy's with Mimi (the Texas heat was a bit much for her).

Talk about an experience- trying to get photos of these two at the same time. Fortunately I had my mom's help- otherwise it probably wouldn't have happened. I am determined for Kinley to get her 3, 6, 9, and 12 month pictures like Trevor did.

Trevor went fishing with his Mimi and Papa T. Not quite sure what he thought about it, although he sure liked "the ball" that he got to throw into the water. He did catch a BIG fish (about 3 inches) but didn't care to get very close to it and sure didn't want to touch it. Maybe he's a bit too much of a "city" boy!

A friend of ours is an amazing photographer and has been using Kinley and Trevor as her little models. She is able to capture great shots of them individually but getting the two of them together has been close to impossible up to this point. So we are still trying...one of these days we'll have a good one.

Today was Trevor's last day of swimming lessons. It's hard to say whether he really liked it or not. Even though he is in our pool often it was a new experience for him and one that brought many tears!
Maybe he will be a surfer one day.

Trevor loves the zoo so we took him for his birthday. It's so hard to believe that he is already 2, it is truly amazing how fast time flies.

Trevor is always wanting sissy to "sit" with him, but he doesn't quite get that she can't sit on her own and that she needs mommy's help.

Yes- he was trying to bite her feet! It went from a gentle kiss to an open mouth with teeth. As you can tell she wasn't too happy.

Our family of four. I'm not sure when it will hit me that we have expanded- probably not until I try to run my first errand with 2 kids instead of 1.

She is finally here. We couldn't wait to meet her and to see what she was going to look like. I did expect to see blonde hair like her brother's but she has her own little look.
Trevor was adorable with Kinley. He wanted to hold her and kiss her all of the time. He's going to be such a great BIG brother.

April 10-The day before Kinley's arrival

John's mom took our pregnancy photo the day before she was due. I thought we could just hang our photo from Trevor's pregnancy in her room but John didn't think that was such a great idea!

Both of our parents flew in town to be here for Kinley's arrival. We are so thankful for loving parents who are a huge part of our lives.

Trevor has so much to teach Kinley. I'm sure she will learn every sport that exists.
